Meet the Doctors of Mililani Orthodontics
Mililani Orthodontics is led by three board-certified orthodontists, all Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, the voluntary credential held by roughly one in three orthodontists. Together they bring decades of experience, research, and genuine local roots to families across Mililani and Central Oʻahu.
A Legacy Carried Forward
The practice was founded by Dr. Carlton Shiraki, who has cared for Mililani smiles since 1983. Before retiring, he introduced new and returning families to Dr. David Dung, Dr. Kaitlyn Tom and Dr. Lauren Todoki.
He was joined by Dr. David Dung, a longtime friend and colleague through the Hawaii Orthodontic Study Group, who has practiced on Oʻahu since 1987. Dr. Kaitlyn Tom and Dr. Lauren Todoki round out a team that pairs experience with research-grade training. The result is seamless continuity: the same trusted care, carried by a new generation.
Together, our doctors care for the full range of orthodontic needs, from a child’s first early-treatment evaluation around age 7, to teen braces and Invisalign®, to adult treatment and complex, multi-step cases.
